The Water Bearer

I only put stock in astrological signs in a sheepish, embarrassed sort of way.  People read into them what they want to.  It has nothing to do with anything.  Blah, blah, blah.

But I do tend to see myself as quite Sagittarian, and I can't help but think of it when I'm all fired-up about something and just have to jump up and storm around.  Or when an unexpected refund check shows up in the mail at precisely the right moment.  Or when my wanderlust rears its head every now and then.

I was watching the Kid at the pool this weekend and thinking about his "water addiction".  (Those bemused words came from one of his teachers, not from me.)  It doesn't matter if it's the backyard hose and a bucket, or a teapot (generously shared by another kid) at the pool--if we didn't stop him, he'd play in the "wa-wa" all day, every day, often carrying it back and forth.

And then, oddly, I started wondering about his astrological sign.  Because I pretend to look down my nose at it all, I've never looked it up before.  A quick google search revealed...Aquarius, The Water Bearer.

All toddlers play in water though.  It's total hooey.  Blah, blah, blah, right?
