Rain Walk

He was promised, "We'll go to the park on Saturday."  He remembered.  And even though it was raining, it was more warm than not.  Suitably attired, we decided to brave it.

We ran in the rain.  We puddle stomped.  We threw pebbles.  The Kid learned--not for the last time, I'm sure--just how soaked your pants get on a wet slide.

Then it really started pouring, and the grown-ups decided it was time to go home.  The Kid carried a handful of pebbles all the way back to the front door, and I remembered my favorite part of walking in the rain--the absolutely divine feeling of changing into dry, warm clothes after!
