Washing the Yucky Off

It may be that he's had a cold this week, with all the attendant snot and all the random particles that stick to it, but I think it goes further than that.

Indeed, I remember having a conversation with a friend several months ago in which she offered that her similarly aged girl-child doesn't really need a bath every single night.  I said something along the lines of, "It would be nice to have a naturally clean child...but the Kid is so grubby at the end of most days that I wouldn't let him in bed with me without a wash."

He just has no consciousness of dirt.  And while that's ok, it's almost like a science experiment some days.  Snot and spaghetti sauce and chocolate drool--how many different sticky substances can be visibly layered onto one human chin?

The upside to all of this is that when he's clean and scrubbed and in fresh pj's after his bath there's quite a noticeable difference.  Which makes cuddling to sleep that much nicer.
