I know, I know. Babies don't need Christmas stockings. But it's something I wanted to do. So that when she's 30 I can say, "I made that stocking for you for your very first Christmas!" and she can roll her eyes and smile.
I confess, having it finished took some pre-planning--I made it at the end of August and tucked it away. I was too superstitious to put a name on it, but the little angel in my pattern book fit so nicely with the snowflake stitch on my machine. And I've been dying to use that bit of holiday scrap that became the dress--salvaged from the bowels of my grandma's basement--for years now.
As with all of our family stockings (a picture of the rest), the pattern came from the book Fast, Fun & Easy Christmas Stockings. I highly recommend it if you're in the market for some homemade stockings this year!
