I specifically bought all three of us the exact same sketchbook so that the Kid would not decide that ours were "better", but he still wants to draw in our books. Or, if that fails, in his book, but on one of our laps, which makes it difficult for the adult drawing to happen.
Nonetheless, we're still drawing. And, not only that, but I've found that I really like the transition between dinner and clean-up/bath/bedtime. The Kid scribbles, I doodle, and Sweet Husband practices scrolls. We're mostly quiet, focused. It's a nice pause to breathe.
