There are not many Harry Potter "items" that impress me anymore. Oh, don't get me wrong, there are a few little "bits of plastic" that would round out my collection nicely (one of the wands that was given away at the Philosopher's Stone movie premier, for example), but these days it really takes a book to get my heart beating a little faster.
Like this one.
It's an advance copy of Prisoner of Azkaban, released before the 1st edition to be sent to reviewers. I think part of the appeal to me (aside from the obvious rarity) is that I can't even imagine what would happen if an advance copy of Deathly Hallows (or any other of the books since Harry got big) had been pre-released in such a way. And also (although it's definitely out of my budget) the American version is (relatively) affordable when compared to things like an early edition of Philosopher's Stone or even the British Advanced Reading Copy of Prisoner of Azkaban. All in all, something that certainly makes my coveted books list.
