We did our heavy celebrating with family last weekend, but managed to catch some in-town celebrations today. We were afraid everything was going to get rained out--our tornado sirens actually went off at one point this afternoon--but thankfully it all blew over quickly.
After catching a concert in the park this evening, we headed to the river to see the city fireworks. The show was a little long, but it was pretty to watch the reflection over the water.
Once we got home, we violated the in-city-limits fireworks ban (just a little) and lit my very favorite kind of firework--a Japanese Friendship Pagoda. (Thanks Mom!)
A few more pictures are here. Happy 4th of July everyone!
