In (apparent) response to all the supposed spoilers being put out, J.K. Rowling updated her website today to say:
"We are almost there! As launch night looms, let's all, please, ignore the misinformation popping up on the web and in the press on the plot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'd like to ask everyone who calls themselves a Potter fan to help preserve the secrecy of the plot for all those who are looking forward to reading the book at the same time on publication day. In a very short time you will know EVERYTHING!"
I must admit, I've been tempted to seek some of the spoilers out...but then again, really not all that tempted. As she says, we've waited this long, what's a few more days? And as for all you spoil-sports out there--EAT SLUGS!
UPDATE: Apparently Scholastic has discovered that copies of the book have already been received due to some idiot breaking their contract and shipping them out early. They're asking fans who have received copies to keep them hidden away until Saturday.
So much for my random internet and news surfing for the next few days--what jerks!
In the meantime, a public service announcement from TLC that made me chuckle....
