One of our train stories involves a little boy who gets a "huge, double scoop of 'Cookie Monster' ice cream on a great big waffle cone". So it didn't surprise me much when the Kid piped up after dinner, "Can we get some ice cream, please? On a cone."
Because we don't purposely seek out stickiness--it finds us plenty all on its own--we have thus far limited him to ice cream from cups. But, you know, he's three now, so it's time to be a big boy.
The ice cream cone, which was chocolate for posterity, worked well for a few minutes, but he just couldn't quite eat it fast enough. He had to finish it from a bowl, but I think the experience was a success, nonetheless.
