Before I start this, I feel duty-bound to tell you that--at the time Sweet Husband and I were planning our wedding--I seriously considered eloping.
Like, kind of a big elopement--moms and dads and siblings would have all been there--but something much smaller and more intimate than the 125 people, rent-out-the-community-center and hire-a-jazz-band barn raiser we ended up having.
This is, perhaps, part of why I found this wedding--which I photographed last month for a friend--so completely charming.
Held in a copse of trees on a sunny hillside at the top of an old stone stairway, the "wedding party" was the bride, the groom, their parents, an officiant, and me. (With a few other loved ones on Facetime--as charming a use of the technology as I've ever seen.)
But it was such a sweet little ceremony.
I mean, look at that lovely vintage-inspired dress. (And those shoes!) And their happy, glowing smiles.
Congratulations Jen and Craig! Thanks for letting me join the fun!
