Shishito peppers may or may not be one of my love languages.
There's a wood-fired pizza place downtown that does them as an app, and they're just....soooo good--all salty and zingy and blackened. I always order a batch for the table.
[And by "for the table" I mean, "if I really love you, you can have a few...if you're quick."]
The recipe went together beautifully. I was a little disgruntled to heat up my canning pot for just two pints (my fault for not planning better), but I got to nibble on roasted shishitos as I sweated-to-death, so it was an afternoon well spent.
I'm exercising restraint and letting them mellow a little before I try them.
[Yeah, that's not going to last very long probably. But let's pretend, ok?]
