I put the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead on our Summer Bucket List mostly for Little Miss, because I knew she'd love seeing the animals.
But after a week of messed up schedules and lots of "grown-up things" (quoth the Kid), we all needed to go somewhere that the kids were allowed to wiggle and shout and run.
As such, I'm not sure if we had such fun at Deanna Rose because it was actually fun, or if it was just a relief not to be hushing the kids like I had been all week, but we had a really good time.
From bottle feeding baby goats to pony rides to fishing to an Indian encampment, there was a ton of stuff to do that was entertaining for all of us.
And it was so easy to say yes, because both the admission and the few activities we had to buy tickets for once inside were soooo cheap.
And, as you can probably see from some of these photos--aside from one slightly aggressive older goat--Little Miss did, indeed, adore the animals. (And the Kid did, too.)
If you're in the area with kiddos, I highly recommend it as a good way to spend an afternoon!
