"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." --John Lennon
I'm certain that--sometime, at least once--my kids have gotten sick at a convenient time, but I sure don't remember it. It's always the week I have two briefs due and the sunflowers are blooming and, and, and....
But here's a bit of mom-wisdom I'm going to share with you: No matter what, it always works out somehow.
The important things get done. Something "gives" at the last minute and you get a breather. You bring the sick kiddo to work and let him watch junk TV all day. You get a break on a deadline. Or the worst happens and it all comes crashing down, but you realize that the sun will still rise and set in spite of it all.
It may be uncomfortable. It may mean you don't sleep much for a few days. But really, it always works out in the end.
Isn't that awesome?
