The Kid hasn't read or seen the latter Harry Potter's yet. We're sticking to 1-3 for now. Because he's young and has a lot of imagination. And because I'm still personally traumatized by the scene where Voldemort comes back to life in "Goblet of Fire", and I'm not ready for him to be traumatized, too.
But when I offered to make his sweater--which was originally going to be a plain Flax Light--into a "Weasley Sweater" by putting his initial on it. Well, that automatically made it about five times cooler in his eyes.
The yarn is some sock yarn I looted from a friend's destash. The letter is just done in duplicate stitch--it was the first time I'd done it, but it was surprisingly easy and fun.
It is still "itchy," sayeth the Kid, but it was a 100 degree day when I made him try it on for a few quick pictures, so that can only get better as the weather does.
Now c'mon autumn!
