So, our Little Miss has started a particularly charming habit over the past few weeks--she calls Sweet Husband "Mama". And me? Well, I'm just that other lady. You know, the one who flipping gave birth to her. Ain't no thing.
I can't say it doesn't hurt my feelings just a smidge, but I also feel like this is something kids just go through, right? While the Kid never mixed us up, he definitely had a phase where he was a hardcore daddy's boy. Eventually, it passed--like these kid phases do--and now he mostly floats between us evenly.
Except that the other day, he called Sweet Husband "Blaine" (his real first name). And I laughed and laughed...and laughed.
Other moms and dads, tell me, do your kiddos go through phases where they gravitate more to one parent over the other? Does it bother you when they're gravitating towards the other parent? Or do you just enjoy the break?
