My mom and sister were in town this past weekend, so we used the occasion to go to the pumpkin patch. (And by "the occasion" I mean "the two extra sets of hands and feet to chase and corral my young ones".)
We began by jumping on the hay rack and heading out to the field in search of pumpkins.
As we got out of the car, I told the Kid that he could get any pumpkin he wanted as long as he could carry it. That resolve did not last. Because I like cool pumpkins, too, and anyway it was good strength training for my arms.
Then it was back to play in the hay maze and visit the farm animals.
Before I would let the kids run amok in the play area, though, I insisted on this one picture. We've been taking it every fall, you see. All the way back to when the Kid was a baby. (Last year's--OMG, Little Miss was so tiny!)
Fall is my favorite, y'all. My hands-down, no-questions-about-it favorite.
