On our way to Nepal for pretend. With Dusty.
As I was poking around researching, though, I saw these beautiful flower garlands, and decided to throw in a craft this week, in lieu of a video.
Our flowers are not particularly authentic--just what was cheap at the store--but making garlands of our own was a fragrant way to kill 15 minutes before dinner.
The Kid wasn't much for stringing flowers, but he did a pretty good job of chopping their heads off to prepare them to be strung.
And Auntie Madi--visting for a few days--was happy to string a few extra garlands even, so they made a good team.
I'm not sure how long the garlands will last, but I sort of get the urge to cover your house in them.
[P.S. Here's a video that sort of shows how to string the flowers. Just for if you're curious.]
