I had a little trouble getting the sides of my basket to go up instead of out. (Any tips on that, oh veteran-rope-basket-makers?) I also ended up with some holes between the rounds of rope. (Because I am a sloppy, sloppy seamstress.)
But no matter. My basket/bowl is quite nice for gathering things in the garden, and the spots I had to patch (with blue thread because I ran out of white) give it a little character.
To that end, I was clever enough to manage one little handle, from which my basket hangs perfectly on a nail on the back porch. There it lives--ever at the ready when it's needed and a nice decoration when it's not.
