I believe I originally avowed that our homegrown blueberries should go to blueberry ice cream. We collected them little by little until we had a few cups, but just when it was getting time to talk recipes, the Kid threw me a curve.
"I want blueberry popsicles!" he exclaimed.
Well, why not, right?
In the bowl of our food processor, I mixed a few cups of our (frozen) berries, several good thwaps of yogurt, and about 1/4 cup brown sugar. I whizzed it smooth, gave it a taste for sweetness, and spooned it into our rocket pop molds.
They've been a highly requested after dinner treat every night since.
Meanwhile, I've been sneaking the remaining blueberries off the bush and into my mouth. Ice pop treats are well and good, but I love plain blueberries almost more than anything.
