When I was little, the "time change" day always felt like the real first day of spring.
Harkening back to my old sensibilities, we spent almost the whole day today outside.
We cleaned up the debris of winter (a little more excessive than usual this year, since I was very pregnant and very, very tired last fall when the clean up should have been happening). And Little Miss napped in the sun, while the Kid got reacquainted with his outside toys.
And then, during nap time, I ran to the hardware store, got some play sand, and made a new outside toy.
Spring may not really be happening until next week--and I'm sure we have plenty of cold and rainy weather still coming--but it felt so good to get an early sample.
