Before we leave Christmas entirely, two things that got made this year.
First, this picture for my mama. In case you don't recognize all of the characters, that's Little Miss, then Sweet Sister and I, then Nice Mom, then my grandmother on the all-the-way inside.
I got the general idea from this tutorial, but found that this one was helpful with the actual photoshop work. (If you're a photoshop ninja, you probably won't need the second one, but I needed the step-by-step.)
Second, this little wooden pocket knife, which Sweet Husband made for the Kid.
The Kid has been eyeing Sweet Husband's pocket knives--he has a bit of a collection--for several months, but we didn't feel like the Kid was quite old enough for even a small one of his own. This made a good substitute for everyone.
I asked Sweet Husband to describe his process, and he was like, "Eh, I just kind of drew it and cut it out." If that's not helpful enough for you--lol, lol--this tutorial looks pretty good.
