Little known fact: I am terrified of peacocks.
Sweet Husband likes to tell a story from our honeymoon. We had gone to dinner (and, it must be said, I had my first tequila shot ever) and there was a peacock roosting on a railing near the door to our room when we got back. I said I would sleep outside rather than walk that close to the creature, but it didn't come to that, thankfully, as Sweet Husband was able to shoo it off.
But, despite my wee phobia, this little peacock is darling, yes? She is the daughter of a good friend, and mom and daughter both get a pretty big kick out of planning and executing fun Halloween costumes. Then they invite me to come take photos, which is what you see before you.
I can't decide what I like more, the vest or the tail. Or maybe the sweet smile that gets a little more grown-up each year.
In any event, it's definitely lighting a fire under me to snap some photos of my own wee dears in their (almost, almost finished) costumes, too.
