Because Sometimes There's Not a Reason To Say No

"I wanna paint," the Kid said, at the end of our lazy Saturday afternoon.

"OK, we can get out your watercolors . . . ."

"No, I wanna paint on that," he pointed towards the large canvas that hangs over our TV when it's not in use.  It's a splatter painting that Sweet Husband and I made several years ago.  We always intended to replace it when the budget allowed, but it's just never been a priority.

I thought about it for about 20 seconds.  It felt like there should be a reason to say "no", but nothing came to mind.

"Umm...hm.  OK.  Why not, I guess?  But we have to take it out into the yard."

And that's just what we did.
