I made this skirt for Sweet Sister a few week ago--my first real clothes, I was so excited about it! It's another pattern from the Alabama Stitch Book (see the dishtowel I made from the book here). I was a little worried it would be too big--one of Sweet Sister's family nicknames is "Tiny Hiney" and I couldn't measure her properly from three hours away--but it actually fit perfectly. And it's so cute and summery on her that now I'm thinking about making one for me.
(Note to self for future: This skirt took 3/4 of a yard of cotton jersey fabric in 2 colors (1 1/2 yard total), and 3/4 of a yard of fold over elastic. The panels are sewn together with a 1/4 inch seam allowance.)
