This month's first Barefoot Bloggers recipe was the Contessa's Chicken Piccata, chosen by Lindsey of Noodle Nights and Muffin Mornings. I also went ahead and made one of this month's bonus recipes, Sauteed Broccolini, chosen by Mary of Meet Me in the Kitchen.
These two went very well together--they could have been called "The Dinner of the Three Lemons"! The chicken was lovely and moist--as breaded chicken generally is--and the lemon and wine added something nice. The broccolini was a little too lemony for me, but I think mine got doused in the chicken sauce in addition to it's own lemon juice, so that was probably the real problem with that.
