I was having poor luck with the sewing machine Sunday afternoon. It was the first time I'd tried quilting on it, and I just don't think my little $75 Brother is up to the task. It was shaking so badly I thought it was going to explode.
So, I put it away and decided to no-sew instead.
As you are all (painfully) aware, I'm kinda into banners. And when I saw this one the other day draped across a back yard, I decided that I must have one. But it involved sewing, and as we have established, I was done with sewing for the day.
What to do? What to do? How about something like this?
See, instead of sewing I just cut out big squares of fabric, folded them into triangles, and tied the ends together. Then I strategically tied it to my clothesline in a few places to make it nice and drapey.
Voila! A no-sew banner to make the yard festive for Spring!
