Just a few favorites from our trip to my dad and step-mom's house at the beginning of August. We make it out to visit--usually for about a week--almost every summer.
I think the kids could spend the whole week in the pool, if we'd let them. But we did do a few other things this time, too.
We went panning for gold at Bridgeport.
We did not strike it rich, unfortunately, but the Kid had an amazing time swimming and scaring his mama (just a little) jumping off rocks.
And then we spent a day at Lake Tahoe.
After our successful canoeing afternoon earlier this summer, I thought it would be fun to rent one on this (much, much) bigger lake.
And it really was! But just playing on the beach and wading in the water was great fun, too, especially for Little Miss.
For our last few days, my step-sister and her two daughters came to hang out.
Toes were painted, legos were built, and there was, of course, even more splashing in the pool.
As usual, we were sorry to have to leave! :)
